SweCham Business Connect with Jönköping University x University West, 25 January 2024

On the evening of 25 January, SweCham had the pleasure and joy of hosting the first networking event of the year with Jönköping University and University West, at the beautiful and luxurious Lancaster Bangkok.   

The evening commenced with a warm welcome from our president, Mr. Peter Björk. Adding an entertaining touch to the event, we were honoured to have a generous lucky draw prizes from Mr. Martin Hurley, General Manager of Lancaster Bangkok.

Moreover, Dr. Roy Andersson, Professor at University West and Associate Professor at Jönköping University, presented the universities' programme in which Swedish engineering and business students undertake their thesis project or internship abroad, specifically here in Thailand.  This initiative provides high-achieving students with the invaluable opportunity to combine studying abroad with gaining international work experience. 

This year's batch of students has just begun their internships at Siemens, Autoliv, Volvo Cars Thailand, MuvMi, Camfil Thailand, Sasin School of Management, and Somboon Group.  The students' speeches highlighted their individual skills and aspirations, as well as their eagerness to contribute positively to these companies in Thailand.
