Sweden Pavilion Showcases ‘A Circular Future: From Industry to Home’ at SX2025

From 26 September to 5 October 2025, the Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce (SweCham), in collaboration with the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok and Business Sweden, proudly hosted the Sweden Pavilion under the theme "A Circular Future: From Industry to Home", at the Sustainability Expo 2025 (SX2025) at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

The Pavilion showcased Sweden’s holistic approach to sustainability — connecting industrial innovation with everyday living to promote a truly circular economy.

A highlight of this year’s participation was the honourable visit of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to the Sweden Pavilion. Her Royal Highness was warmly welcomed by H.E. Mrs. Anna Hammargren, Ambassador of Sweden to Thailand, and Mr. Peter Björk, President of the Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce. Her Royal Highness showed great interest in the innovative Swedish solutions on display — particularly the electric hydrofoil boat — representing cutting-edge sustainable technology in transport.

Showcasing Swedish Leadership in Circular Innovation

The Pavilion featured five leading Swedish companies — Alfa Laval, Candela, Electrolux, IKEA, and Tetra Pak — each contributing to the circular transformation through distinct focus areas: sustainable manufacturing, clean energy, circular packaging, and eco-conscious consumer products.

Their exhibits reflected Sweden’s collective effort to integrate circularity across all levels from industry to home — driving innovation, resilience, and environmental stewardship.

Swedish-Thai Sustainable Talk Stage and Networking Reception

On 2 October 2025, the Talk Stage gathered representatives from five Swedish companies alongside stakeholders from business, academia, and government to exchange experiences and discuss collaborative pathways for a circular and sustainable future.

The session featured five distinguished speakers:

  • Mr. Viktor Friberg, Cluster President, South East Asia & Oceania, Alfa Laval

  • Mr. Björn Antonsson, Regional CEO Asia-Pacific (APAC), Candela

  • Mr. Alexis Richard, General Manager, Electrolux Thailand

  • Ms. Marina Tropnikova, Operations Manager, IKEA Thailand

  • Ms. Ratanasiri Tilokskulchai, Managing Director, Tetra Pak Thailand

These leaders shared insights on implementing circular business models and driving transformation across industries from manufacturing to consumer experiences. The session received high engagement and positive feedback from participants, who expressed great appreciation for Sweden’s innovative solutions and forward-thinking approach to circular economy development.

Following the talks, the networking reception created valuable opportunities for dialogue among Thai and Swedish stakeholders, fostering collaboration and exploring new partnerships toward a circular and sustainable future.

SweCham extends heartfelt thanks to the SX2025 organisers, Team Sweden, partners, members, and visitors who contributed to making this year’s participation a success.

Together, we continue to advance Sweden’s mission toward a smater, greener, and more circular future.
