On 19 November 2025, the Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce (SweCham), represented by President Peter Bjork, joined the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand (JFCCT) Courtesy Visit to Thailand’s Prime Minister, H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, at Government House.
The meeting reinforced collaboration between the public and private sectors to support Thailand’s economic development. Led by JFCCT Chairwoman Ms. Vibeke Lyssand Leirvåg, the delegation presented six strategic recommendations to boost Thailand’s long-term competitiveness:
Enhancing national competitiveness
Advancing integrated digital government services
Developing future-ready skills
Strengthening SMEs
Promoting sustainable development
Accelerating FTAs, open logistics, and OECD accession
These policy actions aim to support business continuity, promote investment, and elevate Thailand’s global competitiveness. JFCCT continues to drive key initiatives on SME development, FTA progress, and enhanced productivity, skills, and innovation.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening Thailand’s competitiveness and ensuring a business environment aligned with international standards—benefiting all sectors, including Swedish businesses and investors.
