SweCham President and Executive Director joined a meeting hosted by TCEB

On 6 June, SweCham President, Mr. Peter Björk, and Executive Director, Dr. Pojanath Bhatanacharoen, joined a meeting hosted by Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) to discuss and share perspectives on the topic of ’Business Opportunity: Expo 2028 Phuket Thailand’ along with other presidents and executive directors of foreign chambers in Thailand.  

At the meeting, the President of TCEB, Mr. Chiruit Isrankun Na Avuthava, welcomed all attendees, and the Senior Vice President, Dr. Supawan Teerarat, delivered the Expo 2028 Phuket briefing.  The discussion covered business opportunities and partnerships related to the Expo to highlight development and solutions towards sustainability, medicine, and wellness.  Since Thailand provides easy access to Southeast Asia and South Asia, the Expo 2028 Phuket Thailand will offer unique perspectives, experiences, and business opportunities.   

In this regard, SweCham would like to thank TCEB for inviting us to be part of the meeting and discuss the business opportunity and partnership for the Expo 2028 Phuket.  SweCham strongly supports Thailand’s bid for hosting the specialised World Expo in 2027/28 with the theme ‘Future of Life: Living in Harmony, Sharing Prosperity.’  We believe that Phuket hosting the expo would provide a unique platform for developing countries and other nations facing similar challenges to collaborate on global policies for equitable prosperity.  We look forward to supporting and collaborating on various projects from TCEB in the coming future!
