Explore Thailand's Auto Industry: A Joint ILO-RAPID Asia Study on Decent Work and Responsible Business

In 2023, Rapid Asia conducted research on ‘Decent work and responsible business practices in Thailand’s automotive manufacturing sector’ in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO). This research project thoroughly analyses Thailand’s automotive manufacturing supply chain, its status vis-à-vis decent work, and responsible business conduct.  The findings highlight the global requirements for human rights due diligence and responsible business practices in global supply chains (including automotive).  Meanwhile, the analysis emphasised disparities between categories in the automotive workforce and implications for the implementation of responsible business practices in the Thai automotive sector.
