𝗦𝗶𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗿 is pleased to share its 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲 𝟳/𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, detailing recent amendments to Foreign Business Act (FBA) restrictions across eight business categories in Thailand.
Thailand has introduced new Ministerial Regulations expanding the scope of businesses exempt from the requirement to obtain a Foreign Business License (FBL) under the Foreign Business Act (FBA).
The new exemptions cover 𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, including telecommunications services, treasury centre services, securities business and derivatives business, intra-group administrative/HR/IT services, and more.
While these changes provide greater flexibility for foreign businesses operating in Thailand, the scope of certain exemptions, particularly intra-group services, still requires further clarification.
