    On the evening of Tuesday, 16 January, SweCham had the pleasure of supporting the Swedish Institute Management Program’s (SIMP) Diploma ceremony with the Swedish Alumni Network Thailand (SANT) held at the Swedish Residence. < Back Swedish Institute Management Program Diploma Presentation Ceremony 18 Jan 2024 On the evening of Tuesday, 16 January, SweCham had the pleasure of supporting the Swedish Institute Management Program’s (SIMP) Diploma ceremony with the Swedish Alumni Network Thailand (SANT) held at the Swedish Residence. The evening commenced with an address by H.E. Anna Hammargren, our ambassador, emphasising the significance of SANT initiatives and its role in fostering connections between the two nations. Following the Ambassador’s opening remarks, we were privileged to hear from Trade Commissioner Kacper Pierzynowski. In his speech, Kacper underscored the significance of SIMP, highlighting its pivotal role in enhancing relations with key stakeholders in Thailand. The highlight of the evening was when H.E. Anna Hammargren conferred the diplomas for the SIMP graduates. SIMP is a programme for ambitious thought leaders who want to bridge the gap between desired action and sustainability. It offers the tools for people to take charge and move to the next level. SANT celebrated its accomplishments from the past year at this special event, showcasing impactful activities, including the Plogging initiative, a roundtable discussion on ‘Plastic Waste: Management and Social Awareness’ hosted by Tetra Pak, and insightful professional networking sessions on ‘Career Development to Secure Your Future.’ with a special speaker from IKEA. SANT’s valuable contribution to the Swedish Education and Career Days 2023, promoting Swedish education for Thai students, further cemented the SANT commitment to fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange. Khun Chaidarun Tippawan, SANT Chairperson, further took the stage to express heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing 2023 Board for their unwavering dedication and hard work. While generally not life-threatening, they can cause symptoms like heavy menstrual bleeding or irregularities, indicating the need for medical attention to prevent infertility or anaemia. During pregnancy, they increase the risks of complications like premature birth and miscarriage. Early detection is crucial for effective management. Types of Uterine Fibroids ✅ Intramural Fibroids: These fibroids are the most common type that grow within the muscular uterine wall. They may cause symptoms such as pelvic pain and heavy menstrual bleeding. ✅ Subserosal Fibroids: These fibroids are found on the outside of the uterus, subserosal fibroids can lead to back pain and pelvic pressure due to their size and location. ✅ Submucosal Fibroids: Growing within the inner lining of the uterus, submucosal fibroids can cause menstrual disorders and fertility issues. He is currently studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. After having studied a semester in Thailand, he is now ready to take the next step in his journey as an intern here at Swecham. With previous experience in e-commerce, online-marketing and event management, it is a huge opportunity for him to apply it in a different part of the world. He hopes to gain international experience to give himself a broader perspective about working and building relations with people all over the world. Liam is a second-year student in International Business and IT at the University of Borås. He is currently at the end of an exchange at Panyapiwat Institute of Management for this semester. After one year in the Swedish Armed Forces, Liam decided to change route into the world of academics. Having previous experience in event hosting, group leading and marketing, Liam is hoping to develop and acquire a more extensive knowledge in his role as Event and Marketing Coordinator, while also gaining general experience with new cultures and networks. We then went to Chinatown, and had deli cious dim sum for lunch before exploring the rich culture and heritage of this part of Bangkok. We visited a Chinese temple Wat Mangkon Kamalawat, and Leng Buai Ia Shrine, which are both at the heart of this multicultural community! After being out in the very hot weather, we decided to cool down with some hot tea at Double Dogs Tearoom. Following a fun day of exploration and good tea, we finished the day by fixing our sweet tooth with some dessert at a local cafe!
