The event commenced with inspiring opening remarks from Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys of The Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm, followed by insightful contributions from Mr. Mats Gerlam, Investment Promotion Consultant at BOI. Following this, Mr. Thumrong Ampornratana, Bio and Medical Industries, Board of Investment (BOI) of Thailand delivered an interesting presentation on the BCG Model, providing deep insights into Thailand's sustainable development initiatives, especially the country's strategic vision to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and net-zero GHG emissions by 2065. Having worked in banking and financial service sector, Johan has had a great experience working with people in different situations and backgrounds with different needs. He has a great interest in International Business, and, through his work experience and studies abroad, has experienced other cultures, ideas, business strategies and insights on international trade. Johan aims to use this opportunity at SweCham to deepen his knowledge on Thailand´s business environment and develop his understanding of the specific dynamics of the Southeast Asian Region. In 1991, the chamber evolved into the Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce, becoming the 12th foreign chamber to be established in Thailand.
