< Back Business Climate Survey For Swedish Companies In Thailand 2022 Team Sweden conducted a business climate survey among Swedish companies in Thailand in May 2022. Team Sweden conducted a business climate survey among Swedish companies in Thailand in May of 2022 to ascertain how Swedish companies performed in 2021 as well as their expectations for 2022 and onwards. The survey, led by Business Sweden and supported by the Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok, provides an opportunity for Swedish companies in Thailand to share their valuable opinions on business-related issues. The 2022 Business Climate Survey results indicated that Swedish companies have not been unaffected by a more difficult business climate during the last three years. The turnover expectations in Thailand are currently showcasing a strong positive outlook towards the future. Of the surveyed companies, 77 per cent believe their turnover will increase slightly or significantly in the upcoming 12 months. In summary, the finding concluded that the Swedish industry in Thailand is doing well from a purely financial point of view, but it is not a market without its challenges and shortcomings. < Back Business Climate Survey For Swedish Companies In Thailand 2018 Team Sweden Thailand conducted a business climate survey in 2018. Click here to download the Business Climate Survey Team Sweden Thailand –Business Sweden, Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of Sweden in Thailand – conducted a survey during February-April 2018 with the purpose to understand how Swedish companies established in Thailand perceive the business climate. One of the insights found is that the Swedish companies have a positive outlook where 84% expect their revenue to grow the coming three years, of which more than 30% expect growth over 20%. < Back Public Attitudes Towards Migrant Workers in Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand by Rapid Asia SweCham member, Rapid Asia, who specialises in social research and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) consulting conducted an interesting research and published report earlier this year. In 2019, Rapid Asia carried out a major survey on attitudes towards migrant workers in four countries (Thailand, Malaysia, Korea and Japan). The study was conducted on behalf of the ILO and UN Women. The study tracks trends of attitudes against a similar study carried out in 2011. The findings indicated respondents in all countries held unfavourable attitudes towards migrant workers and attitudes had also worsened somewhat in 2019. Full report here. Previous Next

< Back Recruitment Fees and Related Costs Report by Rapid Asia SweCham member, Rapid Asia, who specialises in social research and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) consulting conducted an interesting research and published report earlier this year. The “Recruitment fees and related costs” report was a major research study carried out by Rapid Asia, on behalf of ILO, in Thailand. The study looks at what migrant workers from Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Myanmar pay to work in Thailand. Recruitment costs can be rather high and the importance to reduce this cost is recognized in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development under indicator 10.7.1 .
