  • Let’s Fika It Out Together Workshop, Tuesday 17 March 2026

< Back Let’s Fika It Out Together Workshop, Tuesday 17 March 2026 Bangkok, 17 March 2026 – SweCham , together with Inspira , was pleased to organize an Afternoon of Meaningful Conversation and Fresh Perspectives workshop “Let’s Fika It Out Together” , centered on the discussion topic “Making Cross-Cultural and Cross-Generational Collaboration Work at Work!” . What happens when professionals come together not for a formal meeting, but for genuine connection? “Let’s Fika It Out Together” offered exactly that—an engaging and refreshing afternoon centered around the Swedish concept of Fika : taking time to slow down, share coffee, and create space for meaningful conversations. Bringing together a diverse group of professionals from various industries, the session created a welcoming environment where participants could step away from their daily routines and engage in open, thoughtful dialogue. What began as a simple gathering quickly evolved into an afternoon filled with insight, laughter, and authentic exchange. Set in a warm and inclusive atmosphere, the session encouraged participants to explore new perspectives and build connections across cultures and generations. Through guided discussions and interactive exercises, attendees had the opportunity to reflect, share experiences, and co-create ideas in a relaxed yet purposeful setting. The energy throughout the afternoon reflected the essence of Fika—where meaningful dialogue flows naturally, and collaboration is sparked through connection. Highlights from the session included: New connections forming organically over coffee and conversation Ideas evolving through collective thinking and shared experiences A deeper understanding of how diversity strengthens teamwork The session demonstrated that when people feel comfortable, inspired, and heard, conversations become more impactful—and collaboration more meaningful. A sincere thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to making this session such a memorable experience. Together, we created not just an event, but a moment of connection and inspiration. • NIST International School Students Win Global Awards

Students from NIST have been recognised for their innovative solution at the 2022 Diamond Challenge < Back NIST International School Students Win Global Awards 22 Mar 2023 We would like to offer big congratulations to the students from NIST International School in Bangkok who have been recognised for their innovative solution at the 2022 Diamond Challenge, a global entrepreneurship competition for high school students. The team, led by Mix, Setsiri Chaiyosburana, was awarded ‘The Global Innovation Prize,’ one of the only two such prizes awarded to the 700 teams from 37 countries and 28 states who competed in the competition. The team presented NANO-L, an anti-pathogenic coating that incorporates silver nanoparticles to effectively eliminate pathogens. What sets NANO-L apart from other anti-pathogenic coatings is the environmentally friendly production process it employs. Sugarcane leaves are used to create silver nanoparticles, which were inspired by Setsiri Chaiyosburana's trips to visit his grandparents in Kanchanaburi, where he witnessed sugarcane fields emitting plumes of black smoke during the burning season. NANO-L's remarkable achievements go beyond the Diamond Challenge Global Innovation Prize, as it also received acclaim in other international competitions such as the iCAN competition in Canada, and the WICO and Inventions Geneva competitions. Setsiri hopes that the accolades they have received will inspire more opportunities for Thai youth inventors to showcase their practical and innovative ideas.
