    < Back SweCham Business Connect with the National Board of Trade Sweden, Tuesday 27 May 2025 On Tuesday, 27 May, 2025, the Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce (SweCham) was delighted to host the 3rd edition of SweCham Business Connect at the Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok. This special occasion provided an excellent opportunity to welcome Mr. Anders Ahnlid, Director-General of the National Board of Trade Sweden, and his team. They were able to connect with our vibrant SweCham Community in Thailand. As the Swedish governmental agency responsible for foreign trade, the Internal Market, and trade policy, the National Board of Trade Sweden (Kommerskollegium) plays a vital role in promoting open and free trade with transparent rules. They provide the Swedish Government with independent analysis, reports, and policy recommendations, while also considering the perspectives of businesses of all sizes in international trade policy. We extend our sincere gratitude to the 12 supporting chambers for fostering an inclusive community and promoting international trade together. A heartfelt appreciation also goes to our esteemed hotel member, Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok , for providing such a stylish venue and warm hospitality.     Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) presented at THE Digital Universities Asia 2023 event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. < Back SUT Joins THE Digital Universities Asia 2023 by Times Higher Education 30 May 2023 On 9 May 2023, Dr. Sorachai Kamollimsakul, the Director of the Center for Educational Innovation and Technology at Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), represented the university at THE Digital Universities Asia 2023 event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The panel session titled ‘HyFlex education in VUCA world’ discussed the challenges of higher education in the face of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) in the world. Dr. Sorachai was one of the panellists, along with representatives from other universities. They discussed lessons learned from VUCA, the benefits of Hybrid Flexible (HyFlex) transformation in improving student learning, the integration of HyFlex approaches into institutional policy, and the risks and challenges associated with HyFlex education. Dr. Sorachai shared SUT’s experience in adapting to the COVID-19 pandemic by implementing HyFlex learning through their digital platform called XLANE, which offers a variety of micro-credential modular courses. These courses provide flexible, adaptive, and responsive learning experiences to prepare students for a VUCA world. Upon completion, learners receive digital certificates or badges with credits that can be applied towards a degree in the future.   • SweCham Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2024, 21 March 2024

    < Back SweCham Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2024, 21 March 2024 On 21 March, SweCham held our Annual General Meeting (AGM) followed by networking drinks and a delicious dinner. At the AGM, we presented SweCham’s activities over the past year, including a recap of projects and a financial update, followed by the election of board governors. A big congratulation to Mr. Peter Björk who was re-elected for his fifth term as President by the SweCham Board! The evening continued with a post-meeting dinner. We were honoured to have been joined by Khun Anoma Vongyai, Director of Europe Market Division Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), who shared with us updates on the current tourism situation in Thailand and the new strategies to attract quality tourists to Thailand, to promote and support the Thai economy. The new TAT policies focus on eco-friendly tourism and more high-end tourists, aiming to raise the revenue from tourism, based on quality and value! We would like to extend our warm thanks to Khun Anoma Vongyai for the interesting presentation that generated many questions from the floor and a very dynamic discussion. Guests enjoyed a delicious three-course dinner accompanied by exquisite wine, and we would like to give big thanks to our Event Partner the Rembrandt Hotel and Suites for their warm hospitality and excellent facilities. We also wish to thank the deputy head of mission, Mrs. Anna Jakenberg Brinck , Embassy of Sweden to Thailand , for her participation and support of the Thai-Swedish business community. Last but not least, SweCham would like to thank our members and friends who joined us and took part in our AGM and dinner.
