Team Sweden conducted a business climate survey among Swedish companies in Thailand in May of 2022 to ascertain how Swedish companies performed in 2021 as well as their expectations for 2022 and onwards. The survey, led by Business Sweden and supported by the Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok, provides an opportunity for Swedish companies in Thailand to share their valuable opinions on business-related issues. The 2022 Business Climate Survey results indicated that Swedish companies have not been unaffected by a more difficult business climate during the last three years. The turnover expectations in Thailand are currently showcasing a strong positive outlook towards the future. Of the surveyed companies, 77 per cent believe their turnover will increase slightly or significantly in the upcoming 12 months. In summary, the finding concluded that the Swedish industry in Thailand is doing well from a purely financial point of view, but it is not a market without its challenges and shortcomings.
