The meeting provided an exceptional opportunity for attendees to exchange ideas, collaborate, and explore the potential of 5G networks and their transformative impact on business models in Thailand. Throughout the meeting, participants shared case references, discussed ecosystem development, co-creation, and the role of interconnectivity, reliability, and security in enhancing productivity and safety, which were featured in several presentations, including one by the Managing Director of True Digital Group, Khun Ekaraj Panjavinin and another by the President of Ericsson Thailand, Mr. Igor Maurell Special thanks to Dr Passkon Prathombutr, Executive Vice President of DEPA who updated us on the latest development of the Thailand Digital Valley in the EEC. The meeting room was buzzing with energy as participants eagerly discussed the driving force for digitalisation of industries and the potential of the 5G network to provide a transformative shift in the industry. The European University Initiative is an initiative that aims to strengthen strategic partnerships between higher educational institutions in the European Union. With Jönköping University’s participation in this EU Initiative, new opportunities for international cooperation are expected to emerge. Agneta Marell, President of JU, says that participating in this initiative will open many doors for Jönköping University. The European University Initiative (EUI) is a European Union programme focused on the cross-border activities of the university systems in the EU. For a university to join the EUI, the academic institution must be an alliance member. Jönköping University is a part of the EULiST; it comprises ten members with a shared mission, the alliance aims to link society, science, and technology. “A major aim of the collaboration will be to develop educational and research initiatives which contribute to addressing social and global challenges,” says Nerrolyn Ramstrand, the President’s Advisor for Internationalisation. In addition, the Green Shelter Project was initiated by Tetra Pak (Thailand) Ltd. in collaboration with key partners, such as Friends in Need (of ‘PA’) Volunteers Foundation, Relief and Community Health Bureau, the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion, along with various companies in Thailand. The project aims to raise awareness and create a network to collect used beverage cartons for recycling as new raw materials to produce recyclable products like building materials for homes. This project not only helps reduce the impact on the environment but also helps the victims and those who lack opportunities, extending from caring for the environment to cooperation for the benefit of society. < Back 2025 SweCham Business Connect with Jönköping University, University West, and the University of Skövde, 23 January 2025 On the evening of 23 January 2025, SweCham proudly hosted the first Business Connect of 2025 in collaboration with three distinguished Swedish universities: Jönköping University , University West, and the University of Skövde . The event took place in the serene setting of Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok . The evening began with a welcome from our Executive Director Mrs Anna Olsson-Moore, followed by presentations from Dr. Roy Andersson and Dr. Kent Salomonsson. They introduced a program enabling Swedish engineering and business students to complete thesis projects or internships in Thailand, offering companies fresh ideas and students valuable international experience. This year’s students have started their internships at Autoliv Thailand, Bederly, Camfil Thailand, and SKF. In their speeches, they shared their skills, aspirations, and enthusiasm for making a meaningful impact at these companies. The evening also featured a special presentation on "Energy Saving for Companies" by Pontus Rosengren from Virtual Manufacturing, followed by insights into the "Latest Research in Engineering" shared by Dr. Kent Salomonsson.
