Together, we explored the roadmap for organizing the Sustainability for Business Forum (SBF) 2026 , including early discussions on the event date, venue, and key themes that will spotlight the most relevant challenges and opportunities for the business community. Building on the strong foundation of previous editions, this collaboration sets the stage for an even more impactful forum ahead. On 30 November, SweCham President Peter Björk joined the Norway Asia Business Summit at Avani Riverside Bangkok together with more than 200 participants. < Back SweCham President participated in the Norway-Asia Business Summit 2023 8 Dec 2023 On 30 November, SweCham President Peter Björk joined the Norway-Asia Business Summit at Avani Riverside Bangkok together with more than 200 participants. The Norway-Asia Business Summit, hosted by the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (TNCC), aim to strengthen trade and investments between leading institutions, companies, and technology clusters. More than 50 speakers gave their view on topics from strategic business perspectives to cross cultural collaboration for over two days. The Summit is currently the most important meeting arena between Norwegian and Asian business leaders and have a target audience of business and industry leaders, government representatives, technology innovators, business support organisations, experts and academia, international organisations and media. The 2023 Summit was the first post-pandemic Summit, giving Norwegian businesses a chance to meet again, expand their networks, understand market trends, and gain insights into the region’s investment opportunities and challenges. < Back SweCham Business Connect, 5 September 2024 SweCham Business Connect was a highly engaging event that brought together professionals from various industries. Let us recap the key highlights and share insights from this successful gathering! On the evening of Thursday, 5 September, SweCham was delighted to host its first networking event following the summer break. The event began with a welcoming remark from our president, Khun Peter Björk, who thanked our members and partners for their ongoing support. This was then followed by an introduction from our hotel partner, Eastin Grand hotel Sathorn , represented by General Manager Khun Chutima Kaewta Fortescue. Following the introductory remarks, SweCham had the pleasure of welcoming Secretary General Khun Narit Therdsteerasukdi from the Board of Investment (BOI) as our special speaker of the evening. With over two decades of experience in investment promotion and economic policy, Khun Narit delivered an insightful presentation on Thailand's investment environment. The presentation provided a thorough overview of key factors that will influence investment trends over the next five years and outlined how the BOI can support foreign investors in this context. Furthermore, SweCham’s Executive Director, Khun Dr. Pojanath Bhatanacharoen, had arranged for audience questions in advance, creating an opportunity for an open Q&A session with Khun Narit and other BOI representatives. It was the perfect opportunity to delve deeper into the topics discussed, allowing attendees to gain further insights in Thailand’s economic landscape. We extend our sincere thanks to the Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn ’s catering team for their fantastic food and excellent service, which added a dynamic touch to the networking and socialising event. Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce, together with the Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce (FTCC), Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce (NTCC), Swiss-Thai Chamber of Commerce (STCC), and La French Tech Bangkok, empowered this exclusive event celebrated women’s leadership and explored impactful ways to support the professional advancement of women in Thailand. The morning commenced with a keynote address by Laetitia LIM , CEO of Quividi and a board member of La French Tech Bangkok. Her insights into driving innovation and empowering women in leadership resonated with the audience and set the tone for an engaging session. A highlight of the event was the fireside chat titled "Breaking Barriers: The Challenges Women Face in the Tech Industry" . < Back Swedish Education and Career days, 20-22 October 2023 SweCham would like to extend our thanks to everyone who participated in the Study in Sweden and Alumni Networking at the Swedish Embassy on Friday, 20 October and visited the Sweden Pavilion at the OCSC International Education Expo 2023 between 21 and 22 October. The Study in Sweden and Alumni Networking Event was a success, the event started with a speech from the Swedish Ambassador, H. E. Mrs. Anna Hammargren. This was followed by presentations on studying and living in Sweden from Khun Varaporn Premsot, Cultural Officer, Embassy of Sweden, and Khun Chaidarun Tippawan, Chairperson of Sweden Alumni Network Thailand (SANT)! The universities representatives also shared information about their respective universities, including courses available, entry requirements, scholarship opportunities and accommodation. The evening concluded with networking and discussions of what to expect from student life in Sweden! At the OCSC International Education Expo 2023 last weekend, numerous students and visitors were enthusiastic to delve deeper into the prospects of studying in Sweden and explore the distinctive features of Swedish education. The atmosphere was buzzing with curiosity as attendees engaged in meaningful dialogues and gained valuable insights into the educational practices of Sweden. The students were very excited to talk to the universities represented at the Expo to gain a better understanding of program structures and the opportunities available through studying in Sweden. At both events, students were interested in scholarship opportunities, program offerings, and the overall quality of life in Sweden. Additionally, many were keen to learn about the work opportunities in Sweden post-graduation.
