  • [Press Release] Midsummer and Eco On Forge Strategic Partnership to Advance Thailand's Sustainable Energy Goals

Bangkok, Thailand, and Stockholm, Sweden, February 17, 2025 – Midsummer AB, a Swedish leader in thin-film solar technology, has formalized a strategic distribution agreement with Eco On, Thailand's premier solar energy solutions provider. This collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of lightweight, flexible, durable and ultralow carbon solar panels across Thailand, aligning with the nation's ambitious sustainability and decarbonization objectives. < Back [Press Release] Midsummer and Eco On Forge Strategic Partnership to Advance Thailand's Sustainable Energy Goals 17 Feb 2025 In November 2024, Midsummer announced plans and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saab AB to explore the establishment of a 200 MW solar cell manufacturing facility in Thailand. The partnership with Eco On represents a pivotal step in this initiative, ensuring the efficient distribution and installation of Midsummer's innovative solar panels throughout the country. Eco On, formerly known as Gold Stone Energy Thailand , has a distinguished history of delivering comprehensive solar energy solutions and projects , including rooftop installations, ground mounted and solar carports. The company collaborates with major energy corporations and conglomerates across Thailand, contributing significantly to the nation's renewable energy landscape. Ariya Sawangsri, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Eco On stated that: "We are delighted to collaborate with Midsummer to offer our clients cutting-edge solar solutions with great functionality that address some of the major weaknesses in existing roofs within Thailand. Midsummer's lightweight panels are particularly advantageous for commercial and industrial buildings with flat roofs that cannot support traditional, heavier solar panels. Additionally, we see substantial potential for these panels in offshore floating solar applications, which are gaining momentum in Southeast Asia." Midsummer's BOLD model, specifically engineered for low load-bearing flat roofs, weighs a mere 3 kg/m², making it an ideal choice for structures with weight constraints. This technology aligns seamlessly with Thailand's Climate Change Master Plan (2015–2050), which emphasizes low-carbon growth and climate resilience. The plan outlines strategies for climate change adaptation, mitigation, and the creation of an enabling environment for sustainable development. "Thailand presents a compelling market for our thin and lightweight solar solutions. Many buildings here are bathed in sunlight but have roofs that are unsuitable for conventional heavy silicon panels. Our products are perfectly suited to these conditions, and we are eager to collaborate with Eco On to contribute to Thailand's renewable energy targets, potentially with panels manufactured locally." - remarked by Eric Jaremalm, CEO of Midsummer. This partnership not only aims to enhance Thailand's renewable energy capacity but also supports the nation's commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065. By integrating advanced solar technologies into the local market, Midsummer and Eco On are poised to play a significant role in Thailand's sustainable energy transition. • Get a new 4-serotype dengue fever vaccine at Samitivej Hospital

[Member Promotion] Protecting Your Family with Vaccination from Samitivej Hospital < Back Get a new 4-serotype dengue fever vaccine at Samitivej Hospital 22 Apr 2024 Dengue fever, a mosquito-borne illness caused by the dengue virus, is a major public health concern in tropical and subtropical regions like Bangkok. While symptoms can range from mild to severe, the potential for serious complications like dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) and dengue shock syndrome (DSS) makes prevention crucial. Although only a small percentage (around 10%) of those with severe symptoms have DHF or DSS, the risk of death becomes significant if these complications are not promptly addressed. Fortunately, there was a very low mortality rate for dengue fever, with less than 1% of cases proving fatal. Early diagnosis and treatment are critical to maintaining this positive statistic. Symptoms to watch for 🔹Sudden high fever (up to 105°F or 40°C) 🔹Headache 🔹Muscle and joint pain 🔹Nausea and vomiting 🔹Red rash or spots in the abdomen, arms and leg, and blackened stools 🔹Fatigue Diagnosis and treatment Dengue fever is diagnosed based on symptoms and medical history, with potential blood tests for confirmation. There is no specific cure, but treatment focuses on supportive measures like rest, fluids, pain relievers, and fever reducers. In severe cases, hospitalisation may be necessary. Prevention measures The best overall prevention method is to avoid mosquito bites: 🔹Use insect repellent 🔹Wear long-sleeved clothing and pants 🔹Eliminate standing water sources around your home Don't forget to take your family to get a new 4-serotype dengue fever vaccine. It is a powerful tool in the fight against dengue fever.
