The SweCham team thoroughly appreciated the opportunity to learn more about the company and explore the office space. We truly valued the opportunity to gain insight into the daily operations of EQHO, and the services they provide their customers. As a leader in the field of multilingual and multicultural communications solutions, EQHO goes beyond translation and enables other companies to grow in Asia through their end-to-end services from text to voice, and operations manuals to commercial advertisements. EQHO takes great care with each project, and strives to continuously develop its fields of expertise. Each project goes through a rigorous process before reaching its completion in order to deliver the best possible product for each and every customer. During our visit, EQHO also provided helpful expert insights into how the SweCham team might proceed with developing the new website in order for it to be as engaging as possible for all our members, partners and friends. Sven assisted the chamber in different events and projects, in particular the Swedish Education and Career Days Fair as well as the SweCham Christmas dinner along with meetings, social media content and the various networking and cultural events. Sven’s technical knowledge paired with his attention to detail made him a valuable asset to the team. The chamber greatly appreciated having Sven with us for the past 4 months and it was a pleasure seeing him grow and gain new skills and experiences.     Last Thursday, 2 November, the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce Thailand (JFCCT) hosted the Joint Embassies and Chambers Networking Event 2023 at the Amari Bangkok.  < Back JFCCT Networking 2023 8 Nov 2023 Last Thursday, 2 November, the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce Thailand (JFCCT) hosted the Joint Embassies and Chambers Networking Event 2023 at the Amari Bangkok. This event was all about connecting the foreign business community, heads of foreign missions and embassy staff, and the local Thai business community. The event provided an opportunity for all participants to learn and share perspectives and experience through discussion in a relaxing setting. The event began with welcoming remarks by Mrs. Vibeke Lyssand Leirvag, Chairwoman of the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand (JFCCT), followed by a Keynote Speech by Mr Phairush Burapachaisri, Vice Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand. After the Keynote Speech, an Ambassadors and chamber Presidents Group photo session was held, and then the event ended with an open networking session.     < Back Thailand Monthly Economic Monitor for March 2025 Thailand’s economy grew by 3.2 percent year-on-year in Q4 2024, driven by a rebound in public investment and strong electronics exports, while private consumption saw a modest boost from fiscal stimulus. Summary: Thailand’s economy grew by 3.2 percent year-on-year in Q4 2024, driven by a rebound in public investment and strong electronics exports, while private consumption saw a modest boost from fiscal stimulus. High-frequency indicators in January suggest continued expansion, supported by strong goods exports, improving investment, and a tourism rebound despite global trade uncertainty. The Bank of Thailand lowered the policy rate to 2.0 percent in February to ease debt pressures, while inflation remained within target.     < Back Public Attitudes Towards Migrant Workers in Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand by Rapid Asia SweCham member, Rapid Asia, who specialises in social research and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) consulting conducted an interesting research and published report earlier this year. In 2019, Rapid Asia carried out a major survey on attitudes towards migrant workers in four countries (Thailand, Malaysia, Korea and Japan). The study was conducted on behalf of the ILO and UN Women. The study tracks trends of attitudes against a similar study carried out in 2011. The findings indicated respondents in all countries held unfavourable attitudes towards migrant workers and attitudes had also worsened somewhat in 2019. Full report here. Previous Next

Big warm thanks to Khun Chutima Kaewta Fostescue (General Manager), Khun Nanthaya Thongnim (Director of Sales, Corporate and Leisure) and Khun Wilairat Hongsiri (Assistant Director of Sales) for their warm hospitality during our visit. Thank you so much for hosting our team a special lunch to taste various delicious dishes at Antito, a vibrant Resto-Bar by Michelin Chef Amerigo Tito Sesti, serving creative Italian cuisine in a relaxed poolside setting with spectacular city views. We were impressed by their top-notch service and all the dishes served, from signature pizza and pastas to mouthwatering desserts. If you are an Italian food lover, we highly recommend visiting this place! During the tour, Khun Nanthaya and Khun Wilairat provided us with an overview of their facilities and services while showing us the hotel's luxurious guest rooms decorated in a modern residential style and several function rooms catered to all types of events. Most importantly, our team is grateful for the opportunity to discuss potential collaborations with the Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn Bangkok. It was a pleasure to explore the possibilities for us to work together in the future.     On 25 July, SweCham team gathered for an exciting team building activity at Puzzle Room Bangkok and a delicious dinner at Mexicano at the Rembrandt Hotel! < Back Unlocking the Power of Teamwork! 8 Aug 2023 On 25 July, SweCham team gathered for an exciting team building activity at Puzzle Room Bangkok and a delicious dinner at Mexicano at the Rembrandt Hotel! The team building afternoon highlights the importance of teamwork which we recognised as a crucial skill. With each challenge faced during the game, our team members have collaborated to successfully solve the problem. Through the challenge, we practiced working, communicating, and solving problems as a team. Afterwards, we headed over to the Rembrandt Hotel, which has been a long-standing valued member of SweCham, and enjoyed their famous Mexicano restaurants for dinner. Certainly, we could not miss out on Taco Tuesday and it was absolutely delightful! The team building afternoon was an absolute success, leaving us with lasting memories of laughter, bonding, and shared achievements.
