The celebration began in the early evening with music, fascinating performances, and lively conversation between the attendees. Guests were then invited to the Grand Ballroom for a welcome speech by Khun Suphat Sivasiamphai, Khun Chatsiri Sophonpanich, and Khun Suvir Sivasriaumphai. Afterwards, we enjoyed amusing performances, and various food and drinks provided by the hotel. The host provided with ample food and drinks at various spots around the hotel, including their two famous restaurants: Mexicano on the 4th floor and Rang Mahal on the 26th floor. We really appreciated the opportunity to be a part of the grand celebration. The SweCham team would like to once again offer our congratulations to the Rembrandt Hotel on their 30th anniversary! On 8 August 2023, the SweCham team had the opportunity to go to the C Asean forum (CaF 2023) for the 56th anniversary of ASEAN at the C ASEAN Auditorium, CW Tower. The event focused on ASEAN as an 'Epicentrum of growth', emphasising collaboration between the ASEAN member states in how they can move forward in making Southeast Asia a centre of economic growth. < Back SweCham team has enjoyed celebrating ASEANS's 56th Anniversary’ at the CaF C Asean Forum 2023 'ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of growth' 21 Aug 2023 On 8 August 2023, the SweCham team had the opportunity to go to the C Asean forum (CaF 2023) for the 56th anniversary of ASEAN at the C ASEAN Auditorium, CW Tower. The event focused on ASEAN as an 'Epicentrum of growth', emphasising collaboration between the ASEAN member states in how they can move forward in making Southeast Asia a centre of economic growth. The forum was opened by the Vice Chairman of C Asean, Mr. Polapatr Suvarnazorn, and featured several different speakers. H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, the Secretary General of Asean, voiced his thoughts on what has been done in the Asean Vision 2025 and what will be done in Vision 2045. Followed by H.E. Mr. Rachmat Budiman, the ambassador of Indonesia in Thailand spoke on the contributions created during the Indonesian chairmanship. H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Secretary General of the Asian Peace and Reconciliation Council (APRC) and former Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Thailand discussed the challenges that ASEAN faces in the coming years, focusing on the importance of unity within ASEAN and a global shift in the global power balance. Ms. Usana Berananda, the Director-General of the Department of ASEAN Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Thailand, emphasised the importance of sustainable development. Lastly, the ASEAN Youths speech contest winner, Ms. Zeinab Abbaci from the University of Indonesia, made an incredible speech on the importance of diversity, shared heritage and ASEAN Unity. The forum concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony to commemorate the anniversary of ASEAN, followed by networking and the introduction of further opportunities to explore the ideas put forward. SweCham team would like to express our thanks to our Premium Member, BNH hospital, for your kind hospitality during our recent member visit! < Back BNH Hospital Member Visit 16 Jan 2023 On 16 January, the SweCham team had the opportunity to visit BNH hospital, the first international private hospital in Thailand, who has established a reputation as a leading provider of women’s healthcare, specialising in the areas of maternity care, paediatrics, and gynaecology. They have also started to specialise in men’s health. During our visit, we were impressed by the comprehensive array of facilities available, including the emergency ward, various themed rooms, health care services, and the healing garden. In particular, the VIP ward stood out as a noteworthy feature as it exemplifies BNH hospital’s commitment to upgrading the rooms for patients whose family has been there for generations, without any additional charges. Additionally, we also learned that BNH’s services are not only utilised by expats but also by a lot of foreign patients who travel specifically to receive healthcare at BNH hospital. We also would like to extend a special thanks to Khun Nguyen Tran Minh Bac, the overseas marketing executive, Khun Jarinya Jiwjinda, the manager of the overseas marketing division, Khun Poonsap Promsao, the head of the referral centre, and the entire BNH hospital team for hosting this member visit and for their exceptional hospitality. The evening commenced with an address by H.E. Anna Hammargren, our ambassador, emphasising the significance of SANT initiatives and its role in fostering connections between the two nations. Following the Ambassador’s opening remarks, we were privileged to hear from Trade Commissioner Kacper Pierzynowski. In his speech, Kacper underscored the significance of SIMP, highlighting its pivotal role in enhancing relations with key stakeholders in Thailand. The highlight of the evening was when H.E. Anna Hammargren conferred the diplomas for the SIMP graduates. SIMP is a programme for ambitious thought leaders who want to bridge the gap between desired action and sustainability. It offers the tools for people to take charge and move to the next level. SANT celebrated its accomplishments from the past year at this special event, showcasing impactful activities, including the Plogging initiative, a roundtable discussion on ‘Plastic Waste: Management and Social Awareness’ hosted by Tetra Pak, and insightful professional networking sessions on ‘Career Development to Secure Your Future.’ with a special speaker from IKEA. While generally not life-threatening, they can cause symptoms like heavy menstrual bleeding or irregularities, indicating the need for medical attention to prevent infertility or anaemia. During pregnancy, they increase the risks of complications like premature birth and miscarriage. Early detection is crucial for effective management. Types of Uterine Fibroids ✅ Intramural Fibroids: These fibroids are the most common type that grow within the muscular uterine wall. They may cause symptoms such as pelvic pain and heavy menstrual bleeding. ✅ Subserosal Fibroids: These fibroids are found on the outside of the uterus, subserosal fibroids can lead to back pain and pelvic pressure due to their size and location. ✅ Submucosal Fibroids: Growing within the inner lining of the uterus, submucosal fibroids can cause menstrual disorders and fertility issues.
