The SweCham team is pleased to announce that the Board Members for the period 2024/25 were elected during the SweCham AGM 2024, held on Thursday, 21 March 2024, at the Rembrandt Hotel & Suites Bangkok.

On 19 March,  SweCham participated in the Nordic Day 2024 Celebration in Bangkok at the Norwegian Ambassador's Residence, together with SweCham President Mr. Peter Björk, SweCham board members, Business Sweden, representatives from Swedish companies in Thailand such as AstraZeneca, Autoliv, Ericsson, IKEA, FOREO, Husqvarna and SAAB, as well as the Swedish Alumni Network Thailand (SANT).

On Wednesday, 6 March, Dr Pojanath Bhatanacharoen, our Executive Director, and Khun Thittiya Sommana, our Events and Marketing Officer, had the pleasure of visiting C asean to discuss the details of the SX Sustainability Expo 2024.

Last Tuesday, SweCham, Sasin School of Management, Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), and Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce (NTCC) came together to foster a sustainable future through collaborative efforts.

On 5 March, SweCham visited our Member, Aritco Thailand, Home lifts from Sweden.  We were warmly welcomed by Khun Tana Sripongtanakul (General Manager) and Khun Jutharat Hongkhajorn (Assistant to General Manager).  Big thanks for the warm welcome and the great hospitality extended to our Executive Director Dr. Pojanath Bhatanacharoen.

On Tuesday, the SweCham team had the pleasure of welcoming Khun Patcharee Yodpratum (Business Sweden Consultant, Thailand incl. Myanmar, Cambodia, and Lao PDR) to discuss the ongoing impact study on the Swedish footprint in Thailand.

Last Friday, the SweCham team was out for a fun team-building afternoon.  Sporting the IKEA AURTIENDE Collection, SweCham Team began the afternoon with the obligatory photoshoot in the Samyan Mitrtown tunnel.

SweCham, Norcham and TFCC hosted a Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) game, organised by the Chair of the JFCCT Sustainability Committee, Mr. Lars Svensson, Chief Executive of the Sasin Sustainability & Entrepreneurship Center (SEC).  This event took place prior to the JFCCT Presidents Council Meeting, the game was attended by the JFCCT Chair Ms. Vibeke Lyssand Liervag, SweCham President Mr. Peter Björk, and other chamber Presidents and Chairs.  The SDG game is a simulation reflecting our real-world challenges in achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
