With a rich 118-year legacy in the country, Ericsson Thailand is proud to be leading this wave of transformation. Through our world-class expertise in 5G, we are playing a pivotal role in driving digitalization and empowering Thailand to unlock the full potential of its digital economy. Our ambition is clear: to accelerate Thailand’s digital transformation and position it as a leading digital hub in Southeast Asia. In today’s world, 5G technology is much more than just an upgrade from previous generations of wireless technology. It is the foundation upon which future innovations will be built. Offering lightning-fast speeds, ultra-low latency, and unparalleled reliability, 5G has the power to transform industries, revolutionize business models, and enhance the daily lives of millions. Ericsson’s 5G solutions are programmable, secured, reliable, efficient, and sustainable, making us the trusted partner for mobile operators and enterprises globally. “We are at the forefront of this transformation, with over 166 5G networks across 69 countries—making us a global leader in driving 5G adoption. Our commitment to intent-based network automation ensures that Ericsson’s 5G technology offers exceptional performance, security, and sustainability. This is why mobile operators worldwide trust us to deliver cutting-edge, reliable, and efficient 5G solutions. And in Thailand, we’re just getting started,” said Anders Rian, Head of Ericsson Thailand. Transforming Enterprises: Powering Thailand’s Industry 4.0 As Thailand gears up for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), the importance of advanced digital infrastructure cannot be overstated. Industries are increasingly turning to digital solutions to optimize operations, reduce costs, and increase productivity. Ericsson’s 5G technology is the cornerstone of this transformation. By providing ultra-reliable, low-latency communication, 5G enables real-time automation and smart manufacturing, allowing enterprises to modernize their operations with precision and speed. Thailand’s manufacturing sector, a key driver of the economy, is poised for a digital revolution. Smart factories, powered by IoT (Internet of Things) and AI (Artificial Intelligence), will redefine how manufacturers operate. Automated systems, enhanced by real-time data analytics, will improve everything from logistics to production, helping businesses enhance efficiency, cut costs, and ultimately increase profitability. “Ericsson’s global expertise in co-creation ensures that we can partner closely with enterprises to understand their unique challenges and develop tailored solutions that maximize the benefits of digitalization. From smart warehouses to AI-enabled production lines, we are helping businesses prepare for a future where connectivity drives competitiveness,” Anders said. 5G for Consumers: Redefining the Mobile Experience While industries undergo transformation, consumers in Thailand are also witnessing a shift in how they experience mobile technology. As digital services become more integral to everyday life, people demand faster, more reliable, and more immersive digital experiences. This is where 5G truly shines. With Ericsson’s 5G technology, consumers will experience ultra-high-speed mobile broadband that supports data-intensive applications like high-definition streaming, immersive AR/VR experiences, and next-generation mobile gaming. 5G brings with it ultra-low latency, making real-time interactions possible in ways that 4G simply could not deliver. For the avid gamer, this means seamless, lag-free experiences. For the consumer, it means access to immersive experiences that bring the world of augmented and virtual reality into their palms. Mobile broadband usage is soaring across the globe, and Thailand is no exception. Last year, Thailand had 21 million 5G subscriptions out of a total of 96 million mobile subscribers. By next year, that figure is expected to rise to 45 million out of nearly 100 million subscribers. Fast forward to 2030, and 5G is forecast to account for a staggering 94% of all mobile subscriptions, with over 103 million 5G subscribers. These figures highlight the speed and scale of Thailand’s 5G adoption, driven by consumers’ growing demand for high-speed, uninterrupted mobile connectivity. But this growth is about more than just faster internet speeds. 5G is unlocking new opportunities for businesses and consumers alike. In fact, it is predicted that 5G will generate $3.4 billion in enterprise opportunities for mobile operators, especially in sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, automotive, and utilities. This is the future we are helping to build in Thailand—one where 5G is the backbone of a thriving digital economy. Sustainability at the Core of Our 5G Solutions At Ericsson, sustainability is embedded in everything we do. We believe that innovation should not come at the expense of our planet. Our "breaking the energy curve" approach demonstrates our commitment to building energy-efficient, eco-friendly networks. We have successfully worked with customers across the globe to prove that it is possible to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, all while maintaining network quality and reliability. The building blocks of this approach include network preparation, activation of energy-saving software, and precision-built 5G infrastructure that is intelligently managed through AI and machine learning. This focus on sustainability is critical as we help Thailand navigate its digital future, ensuring that 5G technology is not only transformative but also environmentally responsible. Thailand’s ambition to become a regional digital hub is supported by the availability of affordable, diverse, and flexible digital infrastructure. Ericsson is proud to be a driving force behind this effort, helping the country develop the key pillars that are essential for creating a digital economy. This includes building the digital infrastructure—high-speed 5G connectivity that connects more people than ever before; creating an open, enabling ecosystem that fosters innovation and supports both new and established businesses; and nurturing digital skills by developing a tech-savvy workforce equipped with the knowledge and expertise needed to thrive in a digital world. The promise of 5G is clear: It has the potential to become the dominant access technology, transforming the way people and industries connect. By 2029, mobile data traffic per active smartphone in Southeast Asia and Oceania is expected to rise to 42 GB per month, an average growth of 16% from 2023 levels. In Thailand, 5G will enable unparalleled opportunities in areas such as healthcare, manufacturing, utilities, and more, supporting the country’s economic recovery and long-term growth. A Partner in Thailand’s Digital Journey Ericsson is committed to ensuring that Thailand’s digital transformation is a success. The global 5G leader has been a key contributor to the country’s telecommunications development for over a century, and we remain dedicated to shaping its digital future. As a trusted global partner, we are accelerating ecosystem development, driving innovation, and co-creating solutions that will empower businesses and consumers alike. “Our approach is clear: Let’s make it happen for Thailand. By educating and empowering talents, capturing the full value of 5G, and learning from proven global success cases, we are positioning Thailand to thrive in the digital era. Together with our stakeholders, we will build a resilient, sustainable, and connected future for the country,” Anders concluded. Previous Next

  • 5 Things to Consider Before Buying Safety Shoes

While safety shoes started to become an essential part of many workplaces, buying the right pair of safety shoes might be challenging. < Back 5 Things to Consider Before Buying Safety Shoes 15 May 2023 As more people become conscious of the importance of safety at their workplace, the demand for safety shoes has increased. While safety shoes started to become an essential part of many workplaces, buying the right pair of safety shoes might be challenging. With so many different types and brands available, you need to carefully consider your options before making a purchase. Five things to consider before buying a pair of safety shoes: 1. Protection Level There are many types of safety shoes on the market. Each provides a different level and type of protection. It all depends on the components of the safety shoes. The thickness of the shoe upper can tell us the durability of the safety shoe itself. Steel toe caps protect the impact from falling objects. Composite midsoles have the feature of the anti-penetration of sharp objects. Each type of outsoles has different functions, either oil, chemical, or slip resistance. The material of the outsole itself can also determine the levels of heat resistance. Know your requirement and pick the right pair of safety shoes with all the components you need for your work application. 2. Comfort Sometimes safety shoes need to be worn for long working hours, they should be as comfortable as possible. Always find shoes that fit your feet well and have enough padding for comfort. Additionally, choose shoes with a breathable material to keep your feet cool and dry throughout the day. 3. Durability Considering the durability of the shoes is crucial cause you do not want to replace them too often. A pair of durable shoes will ensure the user with maximum protection and prevent injury. One main factor for durability will be the material itself. Seek safety shoes made from high-quality materials such as genuine leather will offerlong-lasting support and wear well over a certain period. 4. Style The shoe style is not the top priority when comes to safety shoes, but it should not be overlooked. The design can affect how comfortable the shoes feel, primarily if you work in a job that requires a lot of movement. Selecting a pair of functional and stylish shoes will help boost overall performance with confidence. 5. Cost The cost of safety shoes varies widely depending on the type and quality. While cheaper options may be tempting, investing in a high-quality pair of safety shoes can save you money in the long run by lasting longer and providing better protection. Set a budget and stick to it, while still considering the above factors that have been mentioned. In conclusion, choosing the right safety shoes requires careful consideration of various factors, including protection level, comfort, durability, style, and cost. By taking these factors into account, you can find a pair of shoes that provide optimal protection, comfort, and functionality for your job.
