< Back Grant Thornton Workshop and Networking, Thursday 26 February 2026 Bangkok, 26 February 2026 — The Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce (SweCham), in collaboration with Grant Thornton Thailand , successfully hosted the executive workshop Human-Centred Digital Transformation in the Age of AI & Agentic AI at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok. The event brought together senior executives, decision-makers, and business leaders from across functions and industries for an afternoon of insight-driven dialogue, collaborative exercises, and meaningful networking. The workshop was designed as a practical and highly interactive executive session, moving beyond theory to explore how AI and emerging “agentic AI” technologies can create real enterprise value. The session was led by Andrew McBean, Partner, Advisory Services – Technology and Digital Services , who framed AI adoption not as a technology race, but as a leadership and organisational challenge. He highlighted the economic imperative facing businesses in Thailand and the region, emphasising that organisations that fail to adapt risk missing significant value opportunities. Active Engagement & Interactive Workshop What made the workshop particularly impactful was the high level of attendee engagement . Rather than a lecture-style seminar, the programme was structured around facilitated discussions, peer exchange, and practical breakout sessions. Throughout the breakout sessions, participants worked in small groups to map out opportunities and openly share their organisations’ challenges. The candid dialogue enabled attendees to benchmark their digital maturity against peers and identify common pain points across industries, creating a dynamic exchange of perspectives among multinational corporations, SMEs, and advisory professionals. The discussions reflected a shared understanding that successful transformation depends not only on tools, but also on culture, communication, and trust. This collaborative format encouraged knowledge-sharing and cross-industry learning, reinforcing the value of the SweCham network. Following the workshop, guests continued the conversation during a relaxed networking reception. Over cocktails and refreshments, participants deepened discussions initiated during the sessions, explored potential collaborations, and strengthened connections within the Thai-Swedish and wider international business community. This workshop exemplified SweCham’s commitment to facilitating relevant, forward-thinking discussions that equip members with actionable insights. The event delivered both strategic perspective and practical value. The Study in Sweden and Alumni Networking Event was a success, the event started with a speech from the Swedish Ambassador, H. E. Mrs. Anna Hammargren. This was followed by presentations on studying and living in Sweden from Khun Varaporn Premsot, Cultural Officer, Embassy of Sweden, and Khun Chaidarun Tippawan, Chairperson of Sweden Alumni Network Thailand (SANT)! The universities representatives also shared information about their respective universities, including courses available, entry requirements, scholarship opportunities and accommodation. The evening concluded with networking and discussions of what to expect from student life in Sweden! AstraZeneca’s survey results reveal 60% of people with high risk in Thailand are still affected by COVID-19. < Back AstraZeneca reveals 60% of people with high risk in Thailand are still affected by COVID-19 19 Jul 2023 AstraZeneca released the result of a recent survey indicating that 60% of the sample group, including those with immunodeficiency and those at a higher risk of contracting COVID-19, said that their daily lives are still affected by the pandemic. AstraZeneca announced their commitment to help these groups return to their normal lives through their previously launched campaign. The existing COVID vaccines and preventing measures might not be enough to protect those at risk from contracting COVID-19. Additionally, 92% of the sample group revealed in the survey that they would like to gain more knowledge about other alternatives to prevent them from contracting the virus. This reiterates the importance of creating awareness regarding COVID-19 and preventative measures as it will increase knowledge for the people at risk and encourage them to seek doctors’ advice. AstraZeneca saw the importance in building a better understanding for those at risk, so that they can better protect themselves from COVID-19, aligning with their existing awareness campaign.
