< Back Sweden Pavilion Showcases ‘A Circular Future: From Industry to Home’ at SX2025 From 26 September to 5 October 2025, the Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce (SweCham) , in collaboration with the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok and Business Sweden , proudly hosted the Sweden Pavilion under the theme "A Circular Future: From Industry to Home" , at the Sustainability Expo 2025 (SX2025) at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The Pavilion showcased Sweden’s holistic approach to sustainability — connecting industrial innovation with everyday living to promote a truly circular economy. A highlight of this year’s participation was the honourable visit of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to the Sweden Pavilion. Her Royal Highness was warmly welcomed by H.E. Mrs. Anna Hammargren, Ambassador of Sweden to Thailand, and Mr. Peter Björk, President of the Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce . Her Royal Highness showed great interest in the innovative Swedish solutions on display — particularly the electric hydrofoil boat — representing cutting-edge sustainable technology in transport. Showcasing Swedish Leadership in Circular Innovation The Pavilion featured five leading Swedish companies — Alfa Laval, Candela, Electrolux, IKEA, and Tetra Pak — each contributing to the circular transformation through distinct focus areas: sustainable manufacturing, clean energy, circular packaging, and eco-conscious consumer products. Their exhibits reflected Sweden’s collective effort to integrate circularity across all levels from industry to home — driving innovation, resilience, and environmental stewardship. Swedish-Thai Sustainable Talk Stage and Networking Reception On 2 October 2025, the Talk Stage gathered representatives from five Swedish companies alongside stakeholders from business, academia, and government to exchange experiences and discuss collaborative pathways for a circular and sustainable future. The session featured five distinguished speakers: Mr. Viktor Friberg , Cluster President, South East Asia & Oceania, Alfa Laval Mr. Björn Antonsson , Regional CEO Asia-Pacific (APAC), Candela Mr. Alexis Richard , General Manager, Electrolux Thailand Ms. Marina Tropnikova , Operations Manager, IKEA Thailand Ms. Ratanasiri Tilokskulchai , Managing Director, Tetra Pak Thailand These leaders shared insights on implementing circular business models and driving transformation across industries from manufacturing to consumer experiences. The session received high engagement and positive feedback from participants, who expressed great appreciation for Sweden’s innovative solutions and forward-thinking approach to circular economy development. Following the talks, the networking reception created valuable opportunities for dialogue among Thai and Swedish stakeholders, fostering collaboration and exploring new partnerships toward a circular and sustainable future. SweCham extends heartfelt thanks to the SX2025 organisers, Team Sweden, partners, members, and visitors who contributed to making this year’s participation a success. Together, we continue to advance Sweden’s mission toward a smater, greener, and more circular future. Click here for the full Photo Book! Previous Next

On 1 December, SweCham participated in the EEC Business Forum 2023, highlighting the electrification empowering for tomorrow at the Eastern Economic Corridor! < Back Electrifying Insights with SweCham: A Day at the EEC Business Forum 2023 6 Dec 2023 On 1 December, SweCham participated in the EEC Business Forum 2023, highlighting the electrification empowering for tomorrow at the Eastern Economic Corridor! The event started with a visit to the Hitachi Energy's factory in the Bangpoo Industrial Estate. They adhere to KAIZEN management principles, consistently enhancing the factory to maintain exceptionally high standards with a primary emphasis on safety. The Bangpoo facility of Hitachi Energy stands as one of the group's smaller plants. Despite its size, it distinguishes itself as one of the most productive factories, demonstrating a significant commitment to sustainability and solar energy initiatives. Big thanks to Dr. Worawut Waruttamapornsu, Country Managing Director of Hitachi Energy (Thailand) and Mr. Ekachai Chanyawiwatkul, Operations Manager for the warm hospitality and the excellent tour. Following our visit to Hitachi Energy, we proceeded to the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA). DEPA concentrates on enhancing Thailand's digital economy. In the Thailand Digital Valley, it now also supports firms specialising in virtual products and artificial intelligence. The agency places a strong emphasis on partnering with the private sector, notably Ericsson. Ericsson is in the process of establishing their 5G Innovation and Experience Studio (5GIX) in Thailand's Digital Valley. Our sincere gratitude to DEPA for hosting the lunch and to our speakers, Khun Panitharn Payackapan of Ericsson Thailand and Khun Tipawan Tangjitpiboon, Director of IoT Institute of DEPA for their sharing the latest development and the facilities available for businesses. During the EEC Business Forum 2023, various presentations showcased distinct projects in the region. These speeches outlined key factors that contribute to the attractiveness of the EEC region for investors, including the EEC visa offering a 10-year duration without the need for 90-day reporting. Additionally, attention was drawn to noteworthy infrastructure initiatives, such as high-speed rail and deepwater ports, with projected completion timelines around 2027/28. The conference highlighted how various companies strive to contribute to the development of the EEC. Amata, for example, is actively engaged in shaping smart cities, while GreenYellow Asia specialises in enhancing environmental sustainability at industrial sites through the deployment of solar cells. Additionally, Ericsson plays a pivotal role by contributing advanced 5G technology, aiming to foster greater efficiency and sustainability in production processes. We would like to express our thanks to the sponsors Ericsson, GreenYellow Asia, AMATA, Kirloskar Brothers (Thailand) Limited, VNU Asia Pacific, and GT Auto from Volvo Pattaya for their generous support. Also, special thanks to Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) for their exceptional support. Finally, we would like to extend our warm congratulations to the Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Joint Foreign Chamber of Commerce Thailand on arranging such an insightful and successful forum.
