Their product range includes everything from commercial laundry machines and dishwashers to professional ovens and refrigeration units. Khun Tommaso Origo, Managing Director, delivered a captivating presentation, showcasing the impressive features of the state-of-the-art Electrolux Professional plant in Rayong, Thailand. As the largest Electrolux Professional plant in Southeast Asia, it is a testament to the company's commitment to the region. Khun Tommaso graciously guided us through the facility, where we witnessed the production of a wide range of commercial washers and dryers. The event was distinguished by the presence of ambassadors from each Nordic nation, each introducing a notable film from their country, highlighting the diverse and profound storytelling traditions of the Nordic region. These introductions offered the audience a fascinating insight into the distinct narrative styles and film-making approaches characteristic of each country, painting a vivid picture of the Nordic cinematic landscape. The movies of the festival were: 🎥Amundsen, Norway 🇳🇴 🎥Riders of Justice, Denmark 🇩🇰 🎥Super Furball Saves the Future, Finland 🇫🇮 🎥Triangle of Sadness, Sweden 🇸🇪 The first movie of the festival was the Swedish movie ‘Triangle of Sadness’ by Ruben Östlund. SweCham President participated in the Cocktail Reception organised by the Thai European Business Association (TEBA) and the panel discussion on the Hospitality Industry Trends organised by the Spanish-Thai Chamber of Commerce (SPTCC). < Back SweCham President joined TEBA Cocktail Reception and SPTCC Hospitality Industry Trends Event 12 Jun 2023 In the past weeks, SweCham President, Mr Peter Björk, participated in the Cocktail Reception organised by the Thai European Business Association (TEBA) and the panel discussion on the Hospitality Industry Trends organised by the Spanish-Thai Chamber of Commerce (SPTCC). Additionally, both events provided all participants with valuable insights into the economy, trends and future of Thailand. At the TEBA Cocktail Reception, our president had an opportunity to connect with representatives of Embassies and foreign chambers in Thailand, C-Suite management, and various business professionals. In addition, Mr Peter met with the new TEBA President, Mr Pierre Jaffre, and their outgoing president, Mr Stefan Heuer. On this occasion, the EU Ambassador, H.E. Mr David Daly, delivered a speech on ‘Expectations Towards 2023,’ including the FTA status. Another interesting presentation on ‘Thailand Economic Plan and New Release Incentives Promotion’ was also shared by the Secretary General of Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), Mr Narit Therdsteerasukdi. The event was attended by over 50 participants from the Thai-Nordic community, offering us a perfect chance to meet and socialise with a great mix of people, including various Nordic friends in Thailand. At the event, participants were given part of a Nordic flag in which we all had to find the other matching part. In addition, the successful pairs won an entry ticket to a lucky draw to win dining vouchers at the Landmark Hotel’s establishments and wine. This event not only offered us a chance to receive good prizes but also allowed us to learn more about the different countries and other unique traditions. Last Friday (Friyay), our SweCham team had a fantastic fika before the weekend! < Back SweCham Team Fika 22 Feb 2023 It was the perfect way to wind down after a busy week and connect with our colleagues. We gathered around the coffee table and indulged in a delicious Swedish treat, the classic ‘Prinsesstårta’. This cake is a masterpiece of sponge cake layers, vanilla custard, raspberry jam, and whipped cream, all covered in a layer of bright green marzipan. It was not only a feast for the taste buds but also for the eyes. Lastly, it was a fun and sweet way to connect with our team and kick off the weekend!!! Swedes love their Fika and it is an integral part of the Swedish culture, especially in the workplace as it gives everyone a break from a busy workday and a chance to chat about non-work-related topics.
